Indigenous Northern Music Association Dance

Fiddle dancing all the way to foot-stomping, two-stepping, jitter-bug jig, and line dance music celebration!

When: Wednesday, October 20th, starting at 7 p.m. and ending approximately at 1:30 a.m.
Where: Chief David Salmon Tribal Hall
Admission: $10 (Children 12 and under are free.)

Dances sponsored by the Indigenous Northern Music Association are “to promote Indigenous Northern people’s music by conducting education and events in a manner that promotes healthy lifestyle activities that support the culture and traditional way of life for members.”

All dances sponsored by the Indigenous Northern Music Association will be alcohol free dances. The Board of Directors will appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Community Welcoming Potlatch

The 2010 Honoring Our Heritage Powwow, hosted by Soaring Eagle Drum-Fairbanks, will be held on Saturday, October 23rd and include dancers from around the state.

National Trends and Reauthorization of ESEA
Professional Development & Teacher Retention
Starting from the ground up: Pre-K to College/Career Prep

Who should come: Elders, Parents, Students and Community Members, ANCSA , Regional Organizations, Foundations, Tribes, Alaska Native Educator Associations, University Staff and Students, and any others interested in discussions surrounding Alaska Native Education.
